The board meets the specifications of EN 312 – P5 – option 1 – cyclic test, in which the board is immersed in water, frozen and finally dried. This cycle is repeated three times, after which the test specimens are tested for swelling and internal bond strength. The board is CE marked and checked daily by the in-house lab.
Make sure the Betonspan panel is supported correctly to prevent significant deflection. Avoid direct water contact at the edges, wherever possible. Freshly cut edges shall be sealed with waterproof paint. Use suitable sawing, milling and drilling tools. Betonspan cannot be used in a service class 3 environment in case of permanent installation like a building’s facade.

Lay-up: The base panel is conventional, cross-wise laminated veneer plywood. The water-repellent overlay represents 3.2 mm of the panel thickness. The overlay material is fully recyclable, plain polypropylene, without any portion of cellulose or kraft-paper. This accounts for the low water absorption of maximum 1.8 %. Its Hardness is Shore D 75 – 80. Special sizes of up-to 1500 mm x 4000 mm and 2000 mm x 3000 mm, cut-to-size, custom overlay thickness and colour are available upon request.
