| Birch plywood overlaid with solid colour, coloured transparent and clear translucent melamine films is used in interior decoration projects and furniture design. A vanguard branch of furniture designers uses this type of material in their plywood furniture, which consists basically of nothing else but plywood. Regardless of the type of furniture – seating, chairs, cabinets, beds or shelves – the design takes full advantage of the technical and esthetical properties of the panel product. Initially this design branch and the term plywood furniture originates from the Finnish architect and designer Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto (1898 – 1976). | ||||||
